O tai chi chuan (taijiquan) na sociedade brasileira atual
Diante de tantas artes orientais da moda, o tai chi chuan acabou por encontrar seu lugar na sociedade brasileira e tem suas altas e baixas de popularidade. No entanto, mesmo sem muita divulgação da mídia, há diversos simpatizantes que não sabem mais viver sem praticá-lo.
Desde que os primeiros mestres chineses vieram ao Brasil no início da década de 70 e começaram a ensinar a arte, vários brasileiros dedicaram-se de coração a aprender o tai chi.
O que nos atrai inicialmente ao taijiquan são os movimentos lentos e bem desenhados, o equilíbrio e a paz que sentimos ao observarmos a execução das formas.
Numa época em que o tempo é precioso e as tarefas são agendadas com meses de antecedência, perguntamos: - Como pode alguém sentir tanta paz fazendo esta arte marcial? Será que nos trará o mesmo benefício?
Esta indagação é o ponto de partida da maioria dos praticantes atualmente. Daí em diante abre-se um leque de idéias, conceitos novos e possibilidades ao iniciante que o faz perceber que a apresentação que assistiu naquela “pracinha” era superficial, porque o taijiquan é como o oceano - profundo e misterioso…porém nos convida a navegar e mergulhar…”
